Wild Wisdom Full Moon Practice - The Art of Self DevotionMichelle

Welcome to the Wild Wisdom Monthly Practice.

Each full moon you will receive this note from me to keep you on track with the lunar cycle and your new moon practice. These are crafted to keep you spiritually nourished and to help you to continue to expand your spiritual growth.

This month our practice is The Art of Self Devotion

Our mantra is:

I accept myself for who I am
I am right where I’m meant to be
My self love is who I am

This super full moon in Gemini — the last full moon of 2025 — is a perfect moment to open to possibility and what you want to bring into your life in 2026.

As we complete Part One of our New Moon Practice , we enter the bright, clarifying time of the full moon. Our key focus here is inner guidance and choice.

We are under the influence of the full moon from Wednesday to Saturday in the northern hemisphere and Thursday to Sunday in the southern hemisphere.

A Moment of Release

This is a moment of release. Rather than focusing on what no longer serves you or what has been hard going, we’re practising something different: being open and present to what this moment has to offer and being on a quest, a spiritual adventure of discovery.

Over the past fortnight, through your practice of self-devotion you have rebuilt or strengthened your sense of safety and grounding. Now, as the moon reaches fullness, we shift into a more spacious, creative frequency.

This moment is about presence, beauty and self-love — and the devotion required to choose what is best for you..

Ask yourself: What brings me joy? What brings me contentment?

Attuning to Your True Nature

Spiritual awareness and inner guidance are natural capacities. They are nourished and cultivated through self-devotion. This full moon we attune to the frequency of our true nature and the deeper wisdom that lies within — the part of us that instinctively knows what feels good, meaningful and nourishing.

As you do, clarity begins to rise around purpose, direction, mission.

The key is simple: follow what feels good.

Listen to your inner guidance. Notice synchronicities. Follow the signs.

What is life showing you now?

You don’t have to know where you are going, but rather that you are going somewhere. And that somewhere is where your life is calling you to be.

‘‘how amazing for a child to learn your life is a grand sacred adventure. You don't know where you're going and you don't need to. It's not about some pre-chosen, predetermined terminus. It’s about this discovery that you are on. And what's certain is that you can be rooted in a stance of quest. You can be rooted as an open system in dialogue with the universe. Fear not.”

Follow the path, look for the signs. Let your heart lead the way. Self-devotion enables you to see yourself clearly and lovingly and embrace the truth of who you are.

Envisioning the Path Ahead

Begin to picture an adventure of the soul in your minds eye. It might be a new dream or an old dream that’s been waiting for you to believe in it.

You don’t yet know where it leads — that mystery is part of the spiritual adventure.

But you are getting in touch with the feeling of this journey and its destination. Be open to the magical signs, synchronicities and your inner knowing — the magic that will guide your way.

Creating a Talisman

Make a talisman that holds the feeling of the vision, or intention, you are cultivating.

A talisman is a companion on the path — something worn or kept close to remind you of your journey — and to draw in magic, guidance, protection and dreams. Use your imagination so it is aligned with your intention.

If possible, include a bay leaf.

The leaves of the Bay tree are known to enhance dreams. They are also used for protection, for sound sleep and to help inspiration and visions take form. In this instance we are using the bay leaf to enhance clarifying dreams.

Handmade beige linen talisman pouch with embroidered sun, moon, eye, and symbolic motifs, displayed on a wooden surface with dried flowers, stones, and a handwritten prayer on aged paper.

Your talisman can be simple or elaborate:

  • a drawing with symbols

  • a stitched piece of fabric

  • a small pouch with written prayers

  • an object you already love, infused with new intention

As you create — speak, sing or pray your intention into it.

Be sure to bring it outside and place it where it will be bathed in the generous beams of the super full moon for as long as possible. Moonbeams of unknown possibilities. You can also place it on a window sill.

Now your talisman and bay leaf are charged with the moon beams, you can continue to use them through part two of this months practice. It doesn't matter if the nights are cloudy - there will still be brightness in the sky.

If time is short, write your vision on paper and place it in a small bowl or pouch. Keep it by your bed or on your altar or desk after placing it in the moonlight.

Full Moon Ceremony

Sit out under the full moon if you can. Be the observer of the atmosphere of the night and also experience your self as part of it. Say or whisper or sing, your dream — your quest, your unknown destination — to the moon. Allow yourself to be with the unknown — the uncertainty of what may be before you. You are choosing a positive experience - one that brings happiness. That is all you need to know at this time. It’s not about looking at what’s not working. It’s about focusing on happiness.

If it’s not possible to be outside, light your candle - white, or natural beeswax or soy, for the moon, and place your talisman before it. You might like to light incense or diffuse essential oil. Take time to centre yourself and get in touch with the atmosphere of the night before sharing your dream with the moon.

Carrying the Practice Forward

As we move from the full moon to the inward spiral of the month, keep your talisman close. Place it where you’ll see it often, or wear it if suitable. As the moon begins to wane, we’ll move into Part Two of our monthly practice.

From Full Moon to Dark Moon — What Feels Good & True

Now we will shift our self-devotion practice to our dreams and desires. To what makes you feel good and what strengthens your sense of purpose and belonging.

Include your bay leaf in your self-devotion practice moving forward. Each night, as you set your intention for your dreams, hold your bay leaf, infusing it with this intention and then place it under your pillow to enhance your dreaming.

At the dark moon (18/19 December), you may choose to return the bay leaf to nature or burn it safely by candlelight, offering a prayer or blessing aligned with your dream.

When you devote time, attention, and love to your own being, you meet the world with greater grace — open to synchronicity, guidance, and the unexpected blessings that arise when you have reverence for your life.

Much love
