Our practice this month is The Rhythm of Life.
Our prayer is:
I release all fear
All doubt
And I am in rhythm
with my dreams and desires

We are in threshold times.
2026 is a threshold year — and a new rhythm is evolving — both collectively and personally. What matters now is not certainty, but presence. A willingness to slow down, to listen more deeply, and to meet this moment with reverence.

This lunar month offers an opportunity to begin laying a foundation for the year ahead. This asks for focus and commitment — our attention, and our self-devotion.
Reverence for life underpins this time. When we live with reverence, we are open to change. One of the invitations now is to find our way back into the rhythm of life — something many of us have become estranged from through the pressures and habits of modern living.
We must attune to our own unique, internal rhythm first. As we release old ways of being that no longer work for us, we can inhabit the rhythm of life that is waiting for us.
The world is changing, and we are part of that change. This month’s practice is about finding our footing within the times we are in.
A threshold is often thought of as something we cross — the doorway of a house, a birthday, a moment of transition. This threshold year is different. It is not something we step over and leave behind. It is a time we are living through. Things can feel uncertain at such a time. The ground beneath our feet can feel shaky.
What steadies us in threshold times is rhythm.
We live inside rhythms whether we acknowledge them or not.
Heartbeat
Breath
Light and dark
The seasons…
When we live in conscious relationship with these rhythms, something in us settles. We feel safe. Reassured. We know we belong. We feel held — not because life becomes predictable, but because we instinctively feel it in our very bones: we are part of the rhythm of life. And we confidently inhabit our strand in the great web of life.
Life is inherently rhythmic. It moves through cycles of birth, growth, death, and regeneration.
Now is the moment to ground and steady our foundation as we prepare to move through this year. Our deep feelings and self-love are part of our internal compass — pointing us toward our truth. Finding our way back into life’s rhythm supports this and nourishes our inner strength.
Truth is essential to that foundation — what feels real and steady in this moment. This is not about returning to old narratives, but about being present with what feels true now. What makes you feel good in your body. What gives you hope.
The way into this threshold year is through alignment — aligning our inner rhythm with the rhythms of the living world. When we do this, we find reference points again. These rhythms become guiding signs that keep us in relationship with the cycles of life.
Inner guidance is inherent within us. It is most available when we listen from the heart centre — that place of clear, steady perception. When we follow the voice of our heart, our choices naturally fall into rhythm with our truth, and with who we are becoming.
Life moves in cycles. It is full of ups and downs. There are times of clarity and times of not knowing. There are losses we must grieve and thresholds we must pass through. This too is the rhythm of life. Learning to be with the sorrows as well as the joys is part of the way.
When we navigate the dark nights of the soul, we expand our consciousness — our natural capacity and our perception of our own life, and of life on Earth and our place within it. We cultivate compassion and generosity, deepening our ability to love and to nurture, and we begin to find our way into our pathway of service. This is the rhythm of life — accepting the ups and downs.

Through wildlife rescue, I know that when we lose an animal we have been raising, we must go through the devastation — the grief, the loss. The heartbreak. Yet through experience, and the willingness to stay with what is unfolding, we come to understand that we will emerge on the other side, our lives richer and with a deeper awareness that life is inherently rhythmic — moving through cycles of birth, growth, death, and regeneration. When we meet these cycles with humility, compassion, and conscious awareness, we remain in rhythm with life, moment by moment.
Wild Wisdom reminds us that we are part of a larger web of life. That our transitions — even the difficult ones — belong to a wider rhythm of shedding and becoming. What shapes us is not what happens, but how we meet what happens.
This month is not about setting intentions. It is about wayfinding — about how we move in rhythm with life. About staying in relationship with where we are, responding step by step, trusting perception over plans.
We are stepping into a different rhythm of living. When we live inside the rhythm of life, we are grounded. We have reference points. We know how to settle back into our own natural rhythm. This is the foundation we need for our wellbeing.

THE PRACTICE
Honouring Our Inner Rhythm
To take time is to honour our life — our natural rhythm. Cherishing each moment enables us to embrace the simple, heartfelt things in our day and attune to the sacred rhythm of life. This deepens our awareness of our spiritual practice and the things that matter most to our wellbeing.
The joy of hearing birdsong, being strengthened by the warmth of the sun, receiving new inspiration as we walk — these are opportunities held within time. They can guide us toward new ways of being, inviting openness to possibilities that might otherwise be missed.
What do you really want to do with your time?
When we are present to the moment, we create spaciousness. This spaciousness fosters clarity, insight, and alignment with our inner rhythm.
Choose one thing you would like to take time for each day.
For me, it is walking through the paddock to the clifftops overlooking the Southern Ocean. Late in the day, during the liminal time of early evening, it soothes and uplifts me while offering insight and inspiration.
Time is not only measured by a clock. It is also shaped by the cyclical rhythms of Mother Earth — the flow of night and day, dusk and dawn, and the changing seasons, both in nature and in our lives.
What season of life are you in?
Our lives unfold in seasons — over a lifetime and within particular experiences — all part of life’s rhythms. When I reflect on helping raise my grandchildren, I remember immense beauty: cooking together, storytelling, and embarking on nightly inner journeys. Now that they have grown and moved away, I cherish those moments. They are etched into my heart as a season of presence and connection.
How do we celebrate such seasons, and the time spent within them?
For me, I tell the stories. By cherishing these experiences, we embody them as living memories, stories to share, and wisdom to carry forward. These moments ripple outward, shaping and influencing the life around us.

Honouring the Rhythm of Our Life Through Memory and Storytelling
Our memories are time capsules. By honouring them, we keep experiences alive.
Storytelling is a powerful way to settle us back into our natural rhythm.
What is a story of your time well spent? Weave it into your practice this month — whether you share it aloud, journal it, or reflect on it.
Take time to begin your natural rhythm.
Throughout this lunar month, our practice is simply to take time — to notice your own rhythm and how it meets the greater rhythm of life around you.
Focus on your sacred time each day — time determined by your inner rhythms: light time (sunset, sunrise, twilight), heart time, you time. Cherish it. Notice the stories that arise and, if you wish, speak them aloud — sharing them, or creating an altar or artwork that expresses them.
Return each day to your chosen time. Let it be shaped by your inner rhythm. You may find yourself remembering. You may find yourself listening. You may simply be present.
By keeping company with time in this way, your awareness of your inner rhythm
strengthens, and you begin to align more naturally with the rhythm of life.
With love
