Each month you are invited into a practice shaped by the rhythms of the Earth and Moon, offering reflection and ritual you can return to throughout the lunar cycle.
This Full Moon is a Blue Moon.

Our Prayer is:
May the strength of the heavens guide me
May the wild Earth instruct me
May the knowledge of my ancestors direct me
May the wonder of beauty show me
May the circle of life inspire me
May my own wisdom steer me
Be there always a guiding light before me
This day and every day

A Blue Moon occurs when two Full Moons fall within the same calendar month. A rare threshold moment traditionally associated with second chances, turning points, and new ways of seeing, a Blue Moon offers us an opportunity to pause, expand our awareness, and view our lives from a wider perspective.
This month our practice is Spiritual Wayfinding: Moving with the Language of the World.
We have always expressed the language of the world through story, symbol, prayer, silence, dreams, creativity, and relationship — ways of accessing and expressing deeper wisdom. Through these forms of expression we have found ways to navigate uncertainty, remember our place within the greater web of life, and find our way through times of change and challenge.
Throughout this month we have been paying attention to what speaks deeply to us. A dream stays with us. A possibility continues to draw us forward. An idea returns again and again. Something captures our imagination or stirs a sense of aliveness within us.
Often we recognise the significance of these moments before we fully understand them. Part of spiritual wayfinding is learning to pay attention to what continues to call to us and recognising the deeper patterns emerging through our lives.
This Blue Moon offers us a breathing space. A moment to pause and look back with the gift of hindsight, expand our awareness, deepen our understanding, and see with fresh eyes what may have been taking shape within our lives all along.
It offers us an opportunity to recognise more clearly the wisdom emerging through our experiences, the strengths we have developed, and what continues to call to us.

Many years ago I had a vision and shared it with my husband, Wim.
“I’m taking a pilgrimage to Ireland.”
He said, “Oh great…” and probably didn’t think more about it.
Not long afterwards I travelled away for work, teaching and offering healing sessions.
As I spoke with people, I found myself talking about Ireland and the possibility of pilgrimage. One by one, people expressed interest.
When I came home I sat down with Wim and shared what had happened.
“Here is a list of interested people who might join us later in the year.”
He looked at me and said,
“Who is going to cook?”
“Who is going to drive?”
I looked at him and smiled.
The penny dropped.
Him, of course.
Years earlier, while I was waiting for Wim to move to Australia after we met in Scotland, I had a vivid dream of him cooking and us serving beautiful food at our retreats.
At that stage I had never even thought about pilgrimages.
Standing in the kitchen all those years later, I suddenly remembered that dream.
The people in a beautiful, wild, storied landscape. A treasured historic building on windswept cliffs overlooking the sea.
The cook. The driver. The mysteries and inner journeys.
All pieces coming together, part of the same story.
Confidence grows through action. Through trusting what feels alive and taking the next step.
We can’t always see the destination. We may have an inspiration that comes as a deep feeling, an aliveness that compels us to act.
The pathway unfolds as we take each step towards that distant horizon.
The language of the world is always speaking through dreams and desires, beauty and relationship, intuition, prayer, synchronicity, and the magical signs we encounter along the way.
Our practice is not only to receive these moments, but to participate with them. To follow the knowing. To answer what is calling us. To take the next step.
THE PRACTICE
If possible, go outside beneath the light of the Full Moon. If the weather is wild, light a candle and create a quiet space for yourself.
Stand with your feet hip-width apart and allow your body to relax.
Take a few slow breaths.
Look towards the horizon, or if you are indoors, imagine a distant horizon stretching before you. Allow your gaze to soften.

Bring to mind something that is calling you in this moment.
It might be a dream, a vision, a creative impulse, a new way of being, time with family, a project you wish to begin, a place you feel drawn to visit, or a pathway you want to follow.
Hold it gently in your awareness.
Now, in your mind’s eye, see yourself taking a step towards it.
Just one step.
As you do, notice what arises.
If resistance appears, allow it to be like a cloud moving across the sky. It comes and it goes.
Bring your attention back to the horizon.
See yourself taking that step.
Feel yourself moving towards what is calling you.
Quietly affirm:
I am taking this next step.
Stay with this for a few moments.
Each time your attention wanders, return to the horizon and see yourself moving forward, one step at a time.
When you feel complete, spend a few moments reflecting or journalling.
What is the next step?
What would it mean to honour it?
Before you go to sleep, ask for a dream to help you be open to receiving the energy, confidence, and clarity needed to take that step.
Keep your journal beside your bed and remember,
the pathway unfolds as we take each step.
Much love
