Country
Southern Ocean · Johanna Valley · The Otways
There is a deep wisdom awakening around the world —
calling us back
to belonging and meaning.
A pilgrimage through one of the world’s most ancient landscapes, Earth and Spirit is an immersion in mystery and dreaming beside the Southern Ocean.
Belonging grows through relationship —
with the land, with your nature, and with your place in the web of life.

02 — DAILY LIFE
Rhythm of
the Pilgrimage
Our days will be guided by the sun, moon and stars, the weather, the dreams we have.
From the moment you arrive, you will experience the vast, ancient landscape, and together we will step into its timeless rhythm.
Mornings begin with sunrise contemplations, dream circles and moments of self-devotion.
Throughout each day, walking, dreaming, journeying and ceremony arise naturally within the rhythm of the land, responsive to what each day brings.
Days end with sunset walks, evening gatherings beside the fire, and time sitting beneath the stars.
"We will spend deeply grounding time with a Traditional Owner who will share stories of the local Dreaming, deepening our understanding and experience of walking on Country."

The Inner Journey
Ceremony, wayfinding, inner journeying, dreaming and healing are woven together with story and shared experience of the landscape we journey through — opening pathways into your deep inner wisdom.
We are living in a time of deep change, when the ancient dreaming of the Earth calls us back into right relationship with life. We will work with practices that guide us into this dreaming.

03 - THE INNER JOURNEY
earth
"The ability to create transformative change in every aspect of your life. The understanding of true healing in a deep and lasting way."

Come walk the shoreline of certainty and uncertainty with me, and enter the mystery — an adventure of the soul.
Certainty lives in our dreams, our inner strength, our knowingness.
Uncertainty is the mystery that beckons — the threshold where new ways of being begin to emerge.
Through dreaming, storytelling, ceremony and walking the land, we learn to meet the unknown not with resistance, but with reverence.

04 — THE LAND
Living Earth —
Wildlife & Dreaming
Here, we remember ourselves as part of the living earth.
Raptors glide on the air currents, mobs of kangaroos gather outside our home in the valley, owls call at night, and our walks bring us into close encounters with local wildlife — wallabies, koalas, myriads of birds, possums, sugar gliders, penguins and seals.
We move through interconnected landscapes of forest, river, coastline and valley — opening and nourishing our hearts and minds, experiencing ourselves as part of the great spiritual web of life.
Dreaming comes easily in this place. Under the vast southern sky beside ancient forest and dramatic coastline, we access a deeper current of life that moves through our days, our spirit and our dreams — revealing insight, strengthening trust, and offering guidance for the pathway ahead.

— Where We Stay
We are based in the heart of Johanna Valley, a quiet, expansive landscape where forested hills enfold us and the beach is only a few minutes’ walk away. Surrounded by wild beauty, our home offers a grounding place to gather, reflect and restore.
Large shared living spaces invite conversation, reflection and nourishment. A wood fire anchors our evenings, while the indoor heated pool offers a place to soften, restore and integrate the depth of the days.
Our home has a large garden to sit and relax and enjoy sweeping views of the valley and vast skies, rolling hills, and wildlife — accompanied by the steadying sound of the surf.

VOICES FROM THE JOURNEY
What Pilgrims Say
"It turned out there was a remarkable way to find meaning and answers to my questions. Feel the ground, hear the stories, see the sights and be guided by one of the world's great teachers, Michelle MacEwan. It also turns out that there was a name for this adventure – The Pilgrimage."
SOPHIA, TUSCANY
"Michelle brings so much light and clarity with her insights and adventures of the soul. She has helped me grow, be more at peace and feel more connected. This spreads to those around me and what I put out into the world. May all the positive energy she puts forth continue to radiate out like ripples spreading in the water."
BRIONY, TUSCON ARIZONA
"Through a mixture of exquisitely curated exercises and meditations, Michelle was able to guide me to reconnect with something deep within myself, something so personal and profound it now burns bright within me. A key part of me to cultivate, savor and experience forever more. I re-remembered a part of myself that had always been there waiting patiently, to be revealed when the time was right."
