I have been reflecting over these past few weeks on practices that keep us grounded and feeling safe. Our sense of interconnection is an important part of this.
The new moon practices I am going to share over the coming months are devoted to honing our sense of belonging, of connection and safety. Of grounding into what we are passionate about. Last week we had our Wild Wisdom master class “Meet Your Inner Healer,” and I am planning to offer more of these - to strengthen our relationship with our inner resources and our well being. All my live work this year is also devoted to this sense of connection, belonging and new dreams for the time we are in.
‘In a time of disconnection, I create to restore belonging. I create to protect what is sacred. I create to remember—and to remind others—that everything is connected.’ Cristina Mittermeier

All of us have the potential to defend the sacred. To protect the wild Earth and deepen the understanding of the web of life and our place in it. We can be ripples in the pond and make a stand for the things that we believe in. The things that we hold dear.
As we develop our spiritual pathway we find that there are many signs along the way. Our dreams are among these signs.
As many of you know, I am a strong believer in being guided by our dreams, including our nightly ones.
One of the things that I value greatly in my life is the work I do with wildlife. Many years ago I had a powerful, short dream that illuminated the value of this work in the bigger picture, and inspired me to become an advocate for the wild.
The bus was flying along the
bumpy road through the mountain pass. The sun was shining and though the mountain peaks were capped with snow, the dark rocks below gleamed in the bright light.
There was a crowd on board, all kinds of people - travellers, pilgrims, locals going to Galway to get their weekly supplies.
The driver was engaged in conversation with an unusual looking man wearing an old greatcoat — I was sure I caught sight of a tiny black nose and whiskers peeping out of one of the pockets. They were talking about wildlife. I was drawn towards them, fascinated, and brimming with a big feeling. One that compelled me to speak about the importance of the wild.
I found myself standing at the front of the bus illuminated in a prism of light. I addressed my captive audience who listened intently as I spoke about the whales and the incredible biodiversity of the oceans — and how we all depend on the oceans for life. I felt the gaze of this diverse group of people lift my spirits and I said in a clear and bold voice,
“The whales are our gold.”

With that I awoke and I lay for a while thinking about my childhood love of animals, and the ocean, and my dream of being able to communicate with wild animals. And I reflected on the work we do at Wild Sanctum, our wildlife rescue and rehabilitation centre here beside the southern ocean, and the importance of speaking out about the wild.
What are your dreams? Are you living them? If not, what is holding you back? What can you create that helps you to feel connected to the whole of life? When we take these steps, no matter how small, we are making a difference. We are nourishing our interconnectedness.

It is in the spirit of this that I originally developed The Radiant Dark. A deep exploration of feminine wisdom and belonging. Of dreaming new dreams and possibilities.
I am very excited about The Radiant Dark Gathering this late September where we will way-find into our deep sense of belonging, reconnect to our own natural magic and dreaming and understand how we can use that to be a wave in the ocean of consciousness and bring new dreams into being. To be part of the unfolding mystery.
Join me for The Radiant Dark, 27 September - 2 October
Come dream and journey with me and move with the unfolding mystery during this mysterious, radiant time and discover a luminous world that is held within. We will harmonise our inner landscape with our direct experience of the magnificent landscape of Connemara - a mysterious place of untamed character, unpredictable weather and natural beauty. A place where the wild Earth still breathes.
Mysteries will reveal themselves during our time together as we experience ancient rituals and ceremonies for the heart and soul.
We only have a few spaces left!
