Winter 2007

Saturday 28th July, 2007

I am thrilled to announce that my new website is up! Thankyou Wim! There are articles for you to read which I am continuing to write as well as a journal which I add to regularly. The journal is a great opportunity for me to share some of the adventures I get up to when I am traveling as well as at home. There is also the opportunity for you to add your comments at the end of some of the entries and articles which I would love you to do! There are still some pages to be added and as time unfolds there will be other surprises in store. Thanks to all of you who have already visited the site and thank you to those who have left comments. There is also a small poll that Wim has put on the site to give us some feedback, it would be great if you could take a few minutes to answer it.

I am also very happy to announce that Vibeke Mygind will be looking after my work in Denmark. Thank you very much to Silas Helle Helene Schmidt for all her wonderful work and welcome Vibeke. Vibeke’s mail is: {encode="vm-kes@mail.dk" title="vm-kes@mail.dk"}

INTO THE WEST

The 2007 pilgrimage to west Ireland is almost full!! There are only a few spaces left so if you are considering coming with us please let us know. If there is anything we can do to assist you in any way then email us asap.

The pilgrimage is from the 3rd –15th October and is based in Connemara, County Galway – a glorious area of natural beauty, rich in Irish culture, steeped in mythology and which abounds in sacred sites. For more information visit the pilgrimage page on our website. There is a wonderful slideshow of last years trip for you to view as well as lots of information about where we stay and some of the things we will do (some things are a surprise!). During this time we live together as a community, eating home made vegetarian cuisine and sharing wonderful adventures as well as quiet and reflective times. In the articles section there is also an article I have written, “Where Pilgrims Walk”, about pilgrimages and I discuss this ancient tradition in Ireland.

UPCOMING EVENTS

A reminder that our winter program Dreams, Symbols and the Mystical Pathway, will be held at the end of August, the eve of 31st August – late afternoon 2nd September. This is a favourite program of mine and will be held at the wild and secluded Mt Sabine. Deep in the heart of the Otway Ranges, Victoria, on 100 acres of forest and garden, it is not far from the magnificent Great Ocean Road and Lorne. This program is limited in space. I have great plans of deep inner exploration and exciting journeys of discovery for this special weekend. We will enjoy our usual sumptuous vegetarian cuisine, a roaring log fire, wonderful stories and time in nature.

Please contact us if you are interested or if you have any questions.

I am offering limited internet sessions and mentoring during the month of August. Sessions are 1 hour duration via internet and/or phone.

I will be offering a variety of autumn programs in Denmark including: September, Sjælland: Transformations, Harmonising the Soul October, Jylland: Transformations, Dreams, Symbols and the Mystical Pathway Contact Vibeke: {encode="vm-kes@mail.dk" title="vm-kes@mail.dk"} and check our events calendar for more details.

Please check the events calendar on my website for updates on other 2007 & 2008 programs that I am offering.

BEYOND WINTER‘S DEPTH

It is several weeks since I returned from the northern hemisphere. It was a big trip and I met many wonderful people. I also spent some wonderful time in Connemara and west Sligo meeting up with friends, spending time in the landscape and soaking up the 2007 inspirations for the October Pilgrimage.

It is wonderful to be back here in the depth of winter, the colours are so luscious– the blue so intense, the green so rich, the air incredibly fresh, and the wattles are about to burst into every conceivable shade of yellow. Typical of this time of year the weather is laced with brilliant sunshine and wild storms. The best thing about winter here is the clarity of the night sky. It is deep black and the stars are like diamonds glittering and enormous and I am reminded of an old Zuni story about the girl with the basket of stars. She throws them one by one into the night sky, to gather them back again as the dawn flush creeps across the horizon.

Over the last 12 months there have been a number of images being sent around the internet of Earth at night. Wim and I were struck by how most countries are completely illuminated at night – with no patch of darkness visible in the satellite images. Australia, however, has barely any light pollution. Just a small sprinkle. Most of the continent is dark. We reflected on this and how without the night sky we have no window to the Universe, no view to where we come from. We have to find the space again for being with the stars. There is nothing more magical – or mystical, than going outside deep in the night when it is all quiet except for the sounds of nature and looking up. When the night is dark and clear there is a dazzling spectacle to behold. image The panorama is constantly changing and if you take the time to follow the pathway of the stars you are sharing one of humanities oldest mystical experiences. Make some time for yourself to be out somewhere where it gets really dark at night and check it out. Have you seen the Southern Cross, Orion‘s Belt or The Pleiades – also known as the Seven Sisters? When I went for an early walk this morning, just as daybreak was on the eastern horizon, the Saucepan (which is the central part of Orion the Hunter and is his belt and his sword) was upright in the eastern sky. A majestic sign for me that we are beginning to move beyond winter’s depth.

Please stay in touch through my website, check in and see what I have been up to and what I have to share, and I look forward to seeing you or hearing from you very soon.

Good Wishes and Peace,

Michelle
